Olatunji Ololade’s ‘The SINKING Houses of Adeniji Adele’ emerged winner for the Environmental category.  He is a multiple award-winning journalist, newspaper columnist and an associate editor of The Nation Newspaper, Lagos, Nigeria. ‘The SINKING houses of Adeniji Adele’ highlights how climate change, rising sea levels, and poor urban planning have caused houses in Adeniji Adele, an estate on Lagos Island, Nigeria, to become submerged. The report details the travails of the residents of the area who have been abandoned to the fierce elements of climate change as a result of government lethargy in addressing the problem.
