This report focuses on the safety of journalists situation in Liberia over the past five years.
Over the five-year period the MFWA documented 31 violations against journalists. The violations covering the five-year period include murder, physical attacks, arbitrary arrests and/or detention, kidnapping, sentencing, as well as threats by individuals against journalists. The reports on these violations also mention the perpetrators who include, state security agents (particularly police), state officials, and political party activists.
