The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has released a report addressing the issues of misinformation, disinformation, hate speech, and political polarisation in Ghana.

Based on nationwide interviews and expert analysis, the report reveals how political actors, partisan media outlets, influencers, and foreign entities have manipulated public discourse, undermined trust in democratic institutions, and heightened national tensions.

It calls for urgent action to enhance media information literacy, regulate digital platforms, and promote collaboration among various stakeholders to safeguard Ghana’s peace and strengthen its democratic resilience.
