This is the second edition of the West Africa Free Expression Monitor. It presents an analysis of incidents of freedom of expression violations that occurred during May to August 2014. This edition highlights types of violations; perpetrators of the violations; and countries in which the violations occurred. The findings compare trends between the previous period, January to April 2014, and the period for this publication, May to August 2014.
