The Norbert Zongo Press Center on Mai 3, 2016, which also marked World Press Freedom Day, notified Burkinabe journalists about the launch of this year’s “Best Burkinabee Journalist Awards” edition. The deadline for entries is September 30, 2016 at 18:00.
Note that, the Nobert Zongo Press Center decided to launch this awards programme to motivate/promote female journalists. The award, worth one million FCFA, is under the “Promoting Excellence/Professionalism in Journalism” and rewards the best article or production working with media bodies in Burkina Faso.
CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION
According to the press laws in Burkina Faso all professional journalists are eligible for the “Best Burkinabe Journalist Award”.
The piece of work submitted should have been published between May 3, 2015 and Mai 3, 2016 and the deadline for submission of application/entries is September 30, 2016.
The Categories are: Print, Radio and Television.
The relevant genres: interview, reporting and investigation.
For print press, kindly submit the original and a copy of the article.
For television, kindly submit 2 DVD copies of the subject.
For radio, kindly submit two audio cassettes regarding the subject on two CD drive.
Please note that articles published in online newspapers are under the print category. Each candidate can submit a maximum of three (3) of his/her best productions at the secretariat of Norbert Zongo Press Center.
Date for awards ceremony: October 20, 2016 this marks National Press Day.
