The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) in partnership with OXFAM-Ghana will on Thursday March 29, 2018 hold a one-day public forum on the topic “Reducing Inequality in Ghana: the Role of Stakeholders” at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.
The Forum will bring together key stakeholders (media, CSOs, government representatives, the diplomatic corps and the general public) to deliberate on the worrying trend of inequality in Ghana despite the country’s gains at poverty reduction. Participants will also make key recommendations on how the deepening challenge of inequality in the country can be addressed
There will also be a presentation of the findings of a baseline study on the media’s coverage of inequality issues in Ghana as well as the screening of a compelling documentary that highlights the challenges of inequality in Ghana.
The forum forms part of MFWA’s activities under the Democratic Governance in West Africa (DEGOWA) programme with funding support from OXFAM-Ghana.
