Daniel manages Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning at the Foundation. He brings many years of experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, and learning, having successfully implemented frameworks and reporting procedures for multi-donor consortium programmes funded by FCDO, USAID, the EU, and DANIDA in the past.
Daniel drafted the monitoring and evaluation components of Ghana’s national risk communication strategy for the COVID-19 response. He played a crucial role in developing and implementing communication strategies for the STAR-Ghana (Phase II) Programme and its successor, the STAR-Ghana Foundation.
Collaborating with organisations such as FHI 360 and government ministries, Daniel has documented the social impact of education and health policy interventions on individuals, systems, and society in various media formats. He has facilitated media training for several media practitioners, and empowered many marginalised citizens across Ghana, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe to advocate for their needs as citizen reporters using mobile technology.
Daniel holds an MPhil in NGO Studies and Community Development, and a BSc in Agriculture, both from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has received professional training in project management as well as monitoring and evaluation from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Prior to his current role, Daniel served as a Graduate Assistant at the Department of Communication Studies, University of Ghana, contributing to teaching and research in media, communication studies, and public policy.
His diverse experience includes previous roles as Project Manager at On Our Radar, a UK-Based Communications firm, SMS Voices Project Manager for the STAR-Ghana Programme (Phase II), MIS Manager for Hopeline Institute, and Research Assistant at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), UG. He has provided consultancy services for various donor-funded programmes and organisations, including the Ghana Grains Council, FHI 360 Ghana, the John Agyekum Kuffour (JAK) Foundation, and Farm Radio International (FRI), Ghana.
