This analysed the media’s coverage of these critical issues in public life notably through the monitoring of sampled influential media outlets in Burkina Faso. The study examined the current state of legislative and institutional architecture of transparency and accountability in the country, the level and quality of media coverage of these issues, the challenges confronting the media, the engagement of citizens in demanding for accountability and finally recommendations on how the media can improve their contribution to governance in Burkina Faso.
